The Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan (TULM) has initiated an unprecedented logistics route by sending the first container train with carbamide cargo from the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. According to the Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan, this train, consisting of 54 40-foot containers with mineral fertilizers, each weighing 28 tons, is the first direct cargo route of its kind. The train will travel through several countries to its destination: from Uzbekistan to the port of Turkmenbashi, then through Azerbaijan and Georgia to the port of Poti. In the Georgian port, the containers will be loaded onto a sea vessel and will arrive at the Brazilian port of Paranagua. The total delivery time is 60-70 days, of which 20 days are spent by rail and 35-45 days are spent by ocean freight.
