Within the framework of the official visit to Malaysia, on December 19, in the afternoon, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedow visited the PETRONAS building and met with the leaders of the Malaysian company PETRONAS Carigali. As reported by TDH , the meeting discussed the priority areas of cooperation and its current state and future in terms of the requirements of the time. The interlocutors noted that there are broad opportunities for intensifying fruitful relations. It was especially noted that the Malaysian company "PETRONAS" makes a significant contribution to the development of Turkmenistan's energy potential. The company has been actively involved in projects to extract hydrocarbon resources in Turkmenistan for almost 30 years. It also carries out relevant work on training high-level specialists for the oil and gas industry. The fuel and energy complex is a promising area of ​​​​relations between Turkmenistan and Malaysia. In this regard, the effective nature of the cooperation established between Turkmenistan and "PETRONAS" was noted. During the meeting, opportunities for further intensification of cooperation in new areas were discussed, taking into account the economic development programs implemented in Turkmenistan, reforms in the industrial sector, and the favorable conditions created for business. The leaders of PETRONAS Company, noting the significance of the previous visits of the National Leader of the Turkmen people to Malaysia, expressed their gratitude to the Head of State for the favorable conditions created for effective business in Turkmenistan, and expressed confidence that mutually beneficial cooperation will be successfully continued in the future. Then President Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the Skybridge observation deck of the PETRONAS building. Here, the company's managers introduced the President of Turkmenistan to the history and features of the building. This famous building consists of 88 floors and is 451.9 meters high. The building was built over a period of 6 years. Its project was carried out by the Argentine architect Cesar Pelli. The amazing structure is distinguished not only by its enormous size, but also by the complexity of its structure. The area of ​​all its rooms is 213,750 square meters. The PETRONAS building houses exhibition and conference halls, an art gallery, and offices. Only Malaysian-made building materials were used for the construction of the building. Strong, yet flexible concrete was developed for it. Accordingly, it weighs twice as much as steel-framed buildings of the same size. The Skybridge observation deck is located on the 41st and 42nd floors of the building. The bridge is 58.4 meters long and weighs 750 tons. The Skybridge, built at a height of 170 meters, is the highest double-decker bridge in the world. These features of the PETRONAS building increase its tourist importance.
