As a continuation of such continuous work, the visit of Alparslan Bayraktar, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey, to Ashgabat was organized on the initiative of the Turkish side on July 30-31 of this year. Today, the Turkish minister was received by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. During the meeting, the Turkmen leader emphasized the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of energy, industry, transport, communication and other areas, and defined the priority areas of cooperation in the gas, gas chemistry, electric energy sectors, as well as specific tasks for the practical implementation of the joint work plan. defined. In turn, Minister Alparslan Bayraktar assured the President of Turkmenistan that Turkey is ready to strengthen relations in all areas of bilateral issues, including the energy issue. During the visit, the possibilities of the implementation of projects on the delivery of Turkmen natural gas to Turkey and the development of the Turkmen petrochemical and gas chemical industry were discussed with the heads of relevant institutions. In this regard, it should be noted that Turkish companies, as part of international consortia, actively participated in the construction of large enterprises producing carbamide, liquid ammonia, sulfuric acid, and synthetic gasoline in Turkmenistan. Based on the rich experience of working with Turkish companies in the energy sector, the parties also discussed the possibility of the Turkish side to participate in the exploitation of Turkmenistan's rich natural resources - potash salt, iodine, iron ores, as well as the creation of modern high-tech and export-oriented industries. During the negotiations, the issue of sending electricity from Turkmenistan to Turkey was also discussed. In this regard, the possibility of sending Turkmen electric energy to the Turkish side in the near future from the 1,574 megawatt power plant currently under construction on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea was noted. As it is known, Turkish partners together with the world's leading electric energy companies have implemented several projects on the construction of modern power plants in Turkmenistan. The electric energy produced in these power stations is sent to the domestic market of Turkmenistan, as well as to the countries of the world. In general, the visit of Minister Alparslan Bayraktar clearly demonstrated the active role of Turkmenistan and Turkey in deepening bilateral relations in the strategic areas of cooperation.
