President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a business meeting through the digital network with the participation of Vice-Premier T. Atahallyev and governors of the provinces. First, governors of velayats gave reports on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the regions. According to reports, grain harvest is going on in the provinces these days. Necessary arrangements are being made for an organized harvesting season. At the same time, wheat seed is being prepared for next year's crop. Harvesting is carried out in the fields freed from grain harvesting. Special attention is paid to the efficient operation of machinery for timely and loss-free transportation of the sorted grain crop from the receiving points to warehouses and elevators. Care work in the cotton fields of the provinces is carried out in accordance with the norms of agrotechnics. Along with the harvesting of the cultivated crops of yeralma and other horticultural crops, preparations for the autumn sowing of these crops are carried out simultaneously. The governors also reported on the status of construction works on cultural-life and industrial facilities planned to be put into use in the provinces this year in accordance with the Rural National Program. Listening to the reports, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of harvesting the cultivated wheat crop without loss and in a short period of time, cotton care work should be carried out in agrotechnical terms and in a timely manner, and he gave some specific instructions to the governors in this regard. The Turkmen leader instructed the khyakims to monitor the quality of the construction works in the various purpose-built facilities planned to be put into operation in the provinces this year in accordance with the National Village Program. Vice-Premier T. Atahalliev also reported on the ongoing seasonal agricultural work in the country. In the report, relevant activities are being carried out to collect the harvest of potatoes and other vegetable crops grown in the agricultural fields of the provinces, to supply the markets with these products, as well as to prepare the areas for planting food agricultural crops in the fall of this year, rice in Dashoguz and Lebap provinces. It was also mentioned that maintenance work is going on in the cultivated fields. Commenting on the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the important role of the agricultural sector in the national economy and highlighted the important tasks facing this sector today. The Turkmen leader gave several specific instructions to the vice-premier saying that it is necessary to carry out the ongoing grain harvest at a high organizational level, to carry out maintenance work in the country's cotton fields within agro-technical terms and in a timely manner.
