It was announced in Brussels about the approval of the Protocol between Turkmenistan and the EU

In Brussels, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belgium, Sapar Palvanov, informed the legal service of the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union about the approval of the Protocol on relations and cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Union and its member states. This Protocol was signed in Brussels on March 18, 2024. The Protocol envisages the accession of new countries: the Republic of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Cyprus, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, Hungary, the Republic of Malta, the Republic of Poland, Romania, the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovak Republic. The relevant Memorandum is an important step in expanding the scope of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU. Ratification of the protocol was approved by the Mejlis of Turkmenistan on July 13, 2024. According to the diplomatic mission, at the ceremony of handing over the relevant document, Ambassador S. Palavanov discussed further steps to develop cooperation and strengthen the legal framework between Turkmenistan and the European Union with the representative of the EU.
