On July 26, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, presented to Fazal Muhammed Sabir a document confirming that he is the temporary charge d'affaires of Afghanistan in Turkmenistan. According to the information of the foreign policy office of Turkmenistan, an Afghan diplomat has been representing his country in Ashgabat for several years. During the meeting, the parties noted the friendly nature of the bilateral relations between the two brotherly states. A wide range of problems related to the practical implementation of large-scale international energy, transport and infrastructure projects implemented with the participation of Turkmenistan and Afghanistan were considered. At the same time, attention was paid to the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TOPH) transnational gas pipeline project, the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TOP) electricity transmission line and the fiber-optic communication system, as well as the construction of the railway from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan.
