Turkmenistan implements the Authorized Economic Operators program

A seminar on the Authorized Economic Operators (AEO) program was held at the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan. This was reported on the official website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan. The seminar was attended by employees of the State Customs Service involved in the implementation of the Authorized Economic Operator program, as well as representatives of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Industrialists of Turkmenistan. It was held to support the implementation of the AEO program in Turkmenistan. The event was hosted by Gaetano Sassone, Technical and Operational Advisor to the WCO AEO from the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency, and Dongsuk Kim, Technical and Operational Advisor to the WCO AEO from the Korea Customs Service. Sessions at the five-day workshop covered topics such as the implementation of the UN Security and Assistance Framework of Standards, global trade, implementation of the AEO program in Turkmenistan, Guidelines for the implementation and validation of the AEO. Based on the results obtained from fruitful discussions, the experts presented their recommendations for more effective implementation of the AEO program in the country. This mission provided a valuable opportunity for representatives of the State Customs Service and the Union of Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan to enhance their capacity in the AEO program and its implementation in Turkmenistan. The World Customs Organization (WCO) Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program has been in existence for several years and is recognized as a key factor in promoting a secure, transparent trading environment through compliance and the application of security measures in trade-related businesses.
